i have been looking at some of the members models and have seen a carbon part that goes from front of car too the rear (full lengh) and ppl placing the reciever at the rear on this carbon top deck near the gearbox, motor. is this a ok place to have the reciever and would u get any problems with it being so close too motor. at the moment my reciever is on the strearing servo and the antenna is very short with it being mounted there, as i found out [:(] it crashed luckly no damage.am just wondering because the layout in the manual has all the power cords, esc an reciever all close together plus when i turn left and right with no throttle the car engages into reverse, could this be due to the electrical field created by motor an esc making this happen and would this carbon part help with these problems i keep having.this problem never happend when i had the motor+Esc in my TL01

thanx for all replys

Hi there Virus,

Have a look at the replies to "oh no not again" in general discussions, you'll probably find that most of your question is answered there.

The only ideas I can add are:- Be very careful with carbon parts, they conduct eletricity!!!! Some say that mounting the RX on it,s side cuts down interference (but check the other things first)

DON'T shorten or bundle up the RX aerial in any way! It's length is critical to good range/interference rejection.

Good Luck. Paul.
