Hi all,

I was up in the loft the other day and I found my old QD Thundershot from donkeys ago. I figure my nephew would have a fair bit of fun with it, I remember it being particularly good for chasing ducks.

The only minor problem is that it has both the transmitter and receiver antenna missing after a particularly brutal encounter with a car. I know that the optimum length for the receiver antennae is 1/4 wavelength, which at 27MHz is about 1.5m. It was definately shorter than this but there is no inductor at the contact point so will it work OK with less?

AFA the control is concerned, I remember it was a telescopic screw in type, do your know if these are still available or if they are supplied with the newer QDs?

Finally, the chassis appears to be all one piece. I know a few cosmetic tweaks were available for this car but does anybody know a way of beefing up the power (I might hang on to it myself then ;)

Cheers, sorry for the long post...

Cheers,

I found a trasmitter aerial at my local shop for £3. I went for 35cm for the receiver aerial and it works a treat.
