yes a 15x2 is a good motor but u will need a good esc to run it u CANT use a msc as it will burn out. the answer to ur paint being rubbish is it takes time to become a good painter/sprayer.u need to spray the shell with thin coats and leave a good few hours between each coat u may find u spray a shell 4/5 times with a thin coats this stops running and an uneaven finnish to the paint work. warm the can up so the paint isnt cold this will help too and take your time. more time = a better finnish/paintjob get a few cheap shells and practice u can use these for bashing so wont matter if they get damaged this way u perfect ur painting and have fun too

oh hi and welcome too tamiyaclub

Always paint darker colour first, then the lighter ones. if you want to paint the Viper red with white stripes. Mask the stripes off and paint the body red, then peel the maksing off and paint the whole body white. This will put a backing on the red and make it brighter. But remember and leave time betwen coats and different colours.

Thanks

The easy way to a good result is to keep it simple colourwise, one bright colour carefully applied is best. Then get creative with stickers on the outside.
