Lunchbox roof gutter repair?

Just acquired a Lunchbox, the roof guttering is totally missing and i want to try and replace it when i restore the shell - anyone have any advice on how to do it [?]

My LHS sells tiny strips of plastic used by model RR people to build detailed stuff. In the US, I believe they are sold under the brand name 'evergreen'.

Or, just sand all traces of it away and give that truck a 'shaved' look.
