Easy Off oven cleaner should take care of it. Just get the one with the BLUE cap spray it on and let sit over night.

Thanks for the reply,. unfortunately i am in the UK with no access to Easy Off[V] ,.I have tried the oven cleaner i usually use with no luck,.. ill keep at it though! ,... its a wonder no-one in the states hasnt tried selling Easy Off ebay?,... or would it come under the list of items that you couldnt send?[?]

I think that as long as the can says Heavy Duty oven cleaner, you'll be okay. Of course you should try it out on a section that doesn't show to be sure it doesn't do any damage.

For clear coats I spray a little easy off on and let it work on it. Then I use a kitchen sponge with the green scrubby to knock the clear coat surface off. with that out of the way, the easy off can really penetrate the paint and get it off.
