Idiots Guide To Posting a Movie on Tamiyaclub

Here we go - you guide to getting a movie up and into the clubs movie sections (and the movie tab of your showroom)

1. Make sure you are a logged in subscriber of the site

2. Go to the movies page and click on the 'add movie' link at the top of the page.

3. Its make your mind time. On the screen that appears you can either opt for hosting you movie on Tamiyaclub or hosting it your own server. There are pros and cons of both.

The top section of the screen is if you want us to host your movie.

Fill in the title and description of your movie here. Then click the browse button to select a movie from your hard disk. You can select a high res and/or a low res movie and also a still thumbnail (100 x 75 pixles) Once you've selected them you just hit the big button that says 'host movie on tamiyaclub'

The pros - its free and easy

The cons - movies are limited to 20mb and they must upload in under 15mins

Using the bottom form you can add a movie but use your own hosting solution. Most of the boxes are the same as above. except rather than selecting a movie file you need to type in the URL of your already hosted files. (no http:// at the front - the system does that for you)

Pros - you can host as big a file as you like/your isp lets you

Cons - you need your own hosting space and to know about ftp etc.

4. Thats it. Except always check you movies appear after upload and work ok and if they don't edit the details or delete them.
