Im going to buy one of these kits and want to build it with ball races from the off but there isnt a manual in the database yet. Will scan and post mine once I finish building it!

2 x 1510

11 x 1150

3 x 850

2 x 1260

should do it. If you can afford to wait, then walawala_com does Teflon sealed sets at $7 plus shipping in his ebay store. BTW, you can look up the chassis details under the Honda CR-V http://www.tamiyaclub.com/manual.asp?id=184 as it's exactly the same long-wheelbase XC chassis. HTH. David

Just got the Radio Control Car Action magazine for April 2005 and they did a great review/write up of the Toureg. Guess I'll have to get one one day!

Thanks guys.

Got that mag, tarznatz. Thats what helped me decide to get one as Im mostly into monster style trucks, pumpkin etc but I wanted something a bit more realistic.

Saying that im planning to build a tube chassis replica of Bigfoot 17, yes the real monster truck that my friend drives here in the UK, using dimnsions from the original full size plans, just need to know what axles to use that look the most like the real thing. Im thinking clod or jugg axles as I can have 4 wheel steer then and they also look like the 5 ton rockwell axles that he used to use.

Just noticed that there are different totals posted here, 18 and 17? And I looked on ebay tonight and most kits that I saw only had 14 bearings in?

Just looked again after counting the bearings from the manual and it turns out Typhoon can't add up, 2+11+3+2=17 not 18, lol.

Not sure if you're joking, but if not then, no, actually 2+11+3+2==18 is correct, and fury_dice also said 18.

I have a set I just received from walawala sitting on my desk and there's 18 in that as well...

It's definitely 18 (put it down to late night maths [;)]) . If kits are advertised with only 14 bearings, I suspect that they are missing out the slightly 'odder' 1260 and 1510 sizes used in the front hubs.

Your'e right late night maths and too much overtime equalling brainache, sorry Typhoon.

Strangely enough, the kit I saw had the 'odder' 1260 and 1510 sizes in the correct quantites but only had 6 1150's and somehow had 4 850's.

Obviously the seller didnt really know what the kit actually needed. lol. Was on ebay though.
