Sounds like it would be more thna up to the task. Do you know what the make is? Only reason I ask is its good to suss out what spares availability is like for the brand of brush you go for, in your country.

Generally you won't go too far wrong with any of the big brands; Badger, Passche, Iwata, etc.

i been spraying with cans for some time now but find the spray pattern none controlable. i decided to get this airbrush in the end as a few of the more quality ones got above my price without placing a bid. i shall find out what make it is too. i had to get a hose and a regulator for the gun too [:I]

Don't know what sort of price range you are looking at, but sometimes its worth looking at the likes of Machinemart. I believe the Clarke double action airbrush they do is actually a rebranded Badger one so spares should be easy to get.

Also if you have a Machinemart near you they often have VAT free days where they discount all the Clarke stuff by 17.5%. Might also be worth thinking about a small compressor while you are there. The cans work out pricey for any more than very occasional use and the pressure variation can make it hard to get a good finish.

I find Aztec brushes to be very good, even there midrange one is very good (although it does feel a bit cheap because its plastice, but there is always the heavy metal version)and its not over priced. I hear the Sotar 20/20 brush is very good or the Parma F1 (I am yet to try either so dont take my word for it). Badger brushes are good and feel nice in the hand.

well thank you for the help and info guys

i decided on the one i posted about its cool, is gravity feed so easry to fill, yes i think it was a bit ott with a double action the amount of control you need to give is very hard but in tiome i should overcome this problem. when i did recive the item it had rust in the paint chamber so i have to clean this out and hopeful coat it with an anti rust agent that wont hurt the paint i will use. air cans are rubbish and freeze up on me but i am now looking into a clarke compressor.

i also have seen a sand blaster made by badger and wondered if you guys have used or had one and what are they like (anygood ? )

Agreed, air cans are rubbish. You won't regret the compressor, and it will save you money in the long run. Same with getting a dual action, it gives you much finer control that you'll be thankful for when you get better with the airbrush.

If the new airbrush came rusted inside, I would send it right back for another one.

The problem is aircans lose pressure as you use it, definately worth getting a compressor. you can freeze water in seconds with aircans, but i wont say how[;)]
