Help! I have done tons of newer RC body sets. I am having a problem with the large winodw stickers that are being used by Tamiya. What is the best process for this. I heard windex works well? Please help! I have wrecked some good windows on some nice cars... :(

Personaly, I never use window stickers. What might help is removing the paper from the sticker, lay that for 3/4 on the window and start putting the sticker on. In case the first corner is not correct, the sticker won't be stuck to the whole window.

The way i do the big stickers is to cut a small strip out of the backing paper(DON'T GO THROUGH)in the centre,Place it on the screen,Once it's right roll the rest of the decal on one side at a time. Not missed yet [:D]

I generally use the same technique that MadMax does. An alternative which gives you a bit more time to position the stickers is to spray window cleaner on the body first. Place the sticker on the sprayed area and the window cleaner prevents the sticker sticking to the body so you can position it correctly. Once it is in the right position squeeze the window cleaner out from under the sticker, starting from the middle. best tool to use as a squeegee is a credit card. Leaver the window cleaner to dry and the sticker should be stuck down. If you get any air bubbles *** them at one end with a pin or scalpel and squeeze the air out.

I hate those new window stickers.

I use a scalpel to trim away the "glass" from the edge trim and bin it, i only use te frame, much more realistic[;)]

Did the same thing with my Ferrari F430 bodyset, masked the windows and sprayed, then trimmed out the 'glass' part of the window stickers with an Exacto to leave the frame. Forgot to use the window cleaner trick when applying the decals, but they went on perfectly anyway.

Looks much better with real windows.

I totaly agree ! wish Tamiya would still supply the "masks" for the windows, these newer window stickers look rubish and totaly lack detail.
