Hey!

I'm after a twin motored MT.

The choices are a Wild Dagger or EMAXX

I've the choice between them, but the EMAXX is more money.

The WD comes with an ESC...

LMK the pro's and cons of each

Cheers,

Sam

Wild Dagger: Cheap to run, good fun, small.

Emaxx: more expensive if it goes wrong, big, fast, tough.

The Emaxx's that I've seen for sale have generally suffered a lot more abuse than Wild Daggers, so if it's 2nd hand make sure you have good pictures of the shocks (which will probably be bent), and also make sure it comes with a speedo. The Emaxx uses 2 cellpacks, which gives it a lot of power, but it does need a special ESC to handle the power and that's expensive.

Spare shocks and shock parts for the Emaxx are pretty cheap at my LHS, I got some bent and slightly worse for wear Emaxx shocks, went to the LHS and got enough bits to refurbish them all for less than a tenner.

If I had a choice between the two, and they were both in equal condition, I would go for the Emaxx personally as I think it can handle a lot more rough stuff than the Dagger. But I do have a Dagger and a Twin Det, they are both fun and if cheaper than the Emaxx I would go for the Dagger.

I don't have a WD but I do have a Maxx. By far the most fun fast truck I have ever had.

They are big, and you need a lot of room to run them though - not a "backyard" bashed unless your yard is the size of a small park.

Cheers for the replies guys.

I'll update you a little more:

The Emaxx looks to be in good cond. and is selling for £110 RTR (with speedo)

The WD Also looks in good cond. and has been offered as a trade for my Evader. (has leccy speedo and some alloy hopups)

At the moment I'm favouring the WD, as I've recently bought a micro truck (1:18) as my garden's quite small - getting an emaxx sounds a bit silly!

I've got a local forest which I just want to be able to plough up at high speeds and have the 4WD advantage.

Anyone know of rough speeds with 2 540 cans in a WD?

Cheers,

Sam

Well the 540s with the kit 18t pinions it is a little slow! But with the 20t pinions you will get a noticeable speed increase!

I must say, neither are looking particularly favourable...

Either way, it looks like I'll end up spending about £150+ as the Emaxx will need more cells, and the Dagger will need an ESC and a motor change [:(]

Cheers for the replies though guys,

Sammy,I would go with the dagger as you say in your other post you have a small garden! I also have a small garden and i fined the dagger to be perfect. A while ago i was looking for a truck and i noticed most of the Emaxx trucks that were for sale (Secondhand ones) had been severely abused yet owners wanted silly money! Or you could get yourself a clodbuster (Or the re re Super Clodbuster)
