If you don't have one you wouldn't understand. The chassis is a work of art to accomodate it's small size while packing everything in. The body is highly detailed. The enzo doesn't even come close.

as far as evyones favorites, check this link. http://www.tamiyaclub.com/cars_stats.asp It's pretty clear that the sand scorcher is the winner.

Will I am glad you like it. It's the way Tamiya should have made it

Mine's Bigwig, cause it's the 10th anniversary car and I liked Tamiya's attitude about it--getting Takuya Yura etc, the way the manual shows pictures of all the concept drawings and prototypes, and Yura shaping the prototype himself. As well it was the coolest looking of the plastic cars from the heyday (in my not-so-humble opinion)! I like the IDEA anyway of the experimental rack-and-pinion setup, and the fact it has so many Bigwig-only parts (like the AWESOME looking Moon Craft wheels).

And "Bigwig" is the coolest word in the world when you're ten.

The Can Am Lola is an awsome car. How many cars in that era had fully adjustable front end geometry including adjustable toe, caster, camber, and ackerman. Even modern cars of today are not that adjustable.

Most cars have adjustable toe and camber. If I'm not mistaken, only the Can Am Lola has instant adjustablities of caster and ackerman.

hey

i was at a friends house last night and we happened to stumble across one of those small matchbox cars, that looked a lot like a rough rider, crossed with a baja champ..[8)]

ill try and get a pic but it would look cool if it was an rc car...

Is still on the drawing board. The engineers are fighting with the marketing people and the marketing people are fighting with the bean counters.

We are still waiting for Tamiya to come out with the best RC model. Has details like the fast attack vehicle, does wheelies like the Willies, has a metal 3 spds, all metal/titanimun hardware but light and strong like the carban fibre, can crawl over anything, handles like the Evol III, has full ball bearings and brushless motor. The cost less than US100 or 90 Euro but in 1 year time is worth US$500,000.00 just for the empty box. [;)]

But seriously boys and girls, ladies and gentlemen....

As I only owned a small fraction of all the Tamiya RC, I can only cast my vote based on my experience with the models that I have and that would be the XC series like the pajero metal top, mu, mux etc...

Is durable, quite detail and realistic, and handles quite well in all terrains plus is price right when it first came out.

Well, on that note I'm going to beat my bigwig stick some more (nobody cares to hear, I realize :) ) and wish for a Bigwig II with the same body, wheels, and tires but with dual-deck plate chassis, belt-driven 4wd (ie modern), aluminum shocks, adjustable mounts, etc etc... and some sort of new motor :) target weight of 40% of the original... ie take out all the brass parts (yuck)..

...not holding breath...

In my opinion....the BEST car might be either the Grasshopper or Frog.

REASON: They seemed to draw the most early RC enthusiasm.[:D] But, for my favorite....it's the FAV! It appeals to military "geeks" and buggy "nuts" alike.[;)]
