Well not in my experience anyway. [V]

Apologies for the slightly hysterical title...I'm just angling for some attention.[:P]

Now dont get me wrong I'm not disputing that other people have had good results with this stuff, but I haven't and if you try to do what I did you wont either.

Let me explain. I recently got round to painting my Optima Mid lexan shell and after various unsuccessfull hunting for the correct shade of yellow used on the box-photo'd car I decided to plump for Tamiya yellow Polycarbonate spray-can paint and promptly applied 3 coats to the bodyshell. When it had dried I immediately didn't like the colour and decided the paint had to come off.

To cut a long story short I got a bottle of Delta Activator expecting great results....well one week later of the body sitting in this stuff and various attempts to scrub the paint off has proved futile. The Tamiya paint is still sitting pretty and basically having a good old chuckle at Mr Activator's attempt to dislodge it. [:(!]

I am now wanting to try Nitro fuel but the guy at my local hobby shop says I am wasting my time because the Tamiya Poly spray paint is fuel resistant....which probably explains why the Delta Activator has had no effect too.

So heed this advice..if you have applied thick coats of Mr T's spray-can Poly paint dont expect Delta Activator to remove it...although I cant comment for the removal of thin/single coats.

Now...how the badword am I going to get this stuff off my lexan shell??[?][?][:(]

I also found Tamiya paint to be very resistant to Activator although it did come off with plenty of scourering. In the end though I got bored of trying and just did something a bit different....

The greeny yellow at the front and blue at the back are the orginal colours to which I added some paint from every PS tin I could find at home!

The do two different versions of the stuff. Activator and Eliminator (i think) I've had success with both on both hard and soft bodies, but which to use is a bit trial an error and very dependant on the paint used.

I've had some where the paint has virtually washed off with the stuff, with no problems at all. then others like an old vanquish which it hardly touched.
