While I think it's kinda neat to see somebody put the effort and imagination into a project like that I also think he needs to have a mental health check-up! [;)]

That is really great work, man after my own heart, who cares if you can buy a modern car which will be as good off the shelf - there is a lot of fun to be had making the old'uns perform better!! [8D][:D]

I'm afraid this Grasshopper is really a quick and good handeling car. But good handeling vs. grasshopper seems a big contradiction though... [:P] Very nice job, a lot of time and effort must have been put to that! He has many other special projects that look very cool, hats off! [8D]

I'm still working on mine. The guy that owns it replied on Roby's messageboard once. He(Super G's owner) also has a hornet with a 4 link suspension and a striker with something done to it.

The only hard part to his setup is the cutting of the CF. Everything else is almost drop in and the plastic is super-easy to cut with a coping saw.

I would say the Carbon firbe development is quite easy really, all you have to do is use wood for the R+D process, and then if the parts are simple enough you can fabricate them using carbon sheet yourself, or when they are more technical I always send my templates off to Fibrelyte (UK carbonfibre company) to fabricate, the finished products are top quality and almost exactly the same as Tamiya.

btw it belongs to tamiyaclub member Grahoo if you did not know.
