Hi all

I am thinking about getting a Mad Bull just for backyard bashing but i have a few questions. I would like to convert it to a Fighter Buggy/Grasshopper 2 cross bread. I plan to take the large tyres off to use for my pumpkin and put on a set of Fighter Buggy wheels and tyres. Is this just a straight swap or do i need some kind a wheel adaptors? Also am i right in thinking that the Mad Bull shell is just a Grasshopper 2 shell?

Finally has anyone got a cheap Mad Bull chassis they wanna sell [;)]

Cheers

Hi,

I have a complete 6 month old boxed Madbull i'd like to trade, anything considered.

Let me know,

Don't quote me on this but I think the axles are quite a bit longer on the Mad Bull than the Fighter Buggy. I can check later if no one has answered as my g/f has the Mad Bull and little bro has Fighter Buggy, but I know for a fact that the front tires on the MB are at least 3 times the width of the FB. We tried fitting some Chrome Blitzer Beetle wheels on the MB and even they were not wide enough. I will check later.

The Mad Bull, Mad Bull XB, Fighter Buggy RX and Mad Fighter are all identical chassis. The wheels and tires will exchange between these models with no modifications. The only real difference is the color of the gearbox, gears and shocks. They all share the same DT-01 chassis. I own both a Mad Bull and a Fighter Buggy RX.

The Mad Bull body shell is based on the Grasshopper 2 (I have a NIB Grasshopper 2 for comparision) but is not exactly the same. The Mad Bull shell will fit the fighter buggy chassis so long as you use the rear mount for the Fighter Buggy RX. (it is on the tree in the Mad Bull kit as the trees are for all three of the DT-01 buggies)

The rear wheels from your Mad Bull will not fit the Pumpkin however the tires are exactly the same as the pumpkin, Lunchbox and Wild Willy 2.

Yet another case of Tamiya and parts recyling. [8)]

The part (body mount) you would need is included on the F-tree for all three kits. (Mad Bull, Fighter Buggy and Mad Fighter)

I just today finally got the correct wheels for my Fighter Buggy and am now happy with it! [8D] (updated photo to be posted to my showroom tomorrow)

While a very inexpensive and simple model I really like the looks!
