Hi, i have just brought my second on-road r/c car both are TT-01's. and i am just wondering what are the limits to these cars. i have found that even a smallish stone wont fit under these cars so gravel is a no no. is racing on wet road and in the rain advised or am i just looking for trouble with things getting wet and damp.

thank's

Gonze

one other thing is there a way i can make the TT-01 chassis sit higher off the ground. with out spend loads of money.

try stiffing the shocks up or repalce them with CVA minis then u can use different springs, oils

i dont take mine out in the wet like to just use it in the dry now and again

As well as shock adjustment (there could well be some spacers in teh shocks that you can remove to get more height) you could always fit a set of rally-block tyres - that would gain you a few mm clearance at little cost, and would help with running on the rougher ground.

Hi Gonze. If you put 'waterproofing' and/or 'waterproof' into the search box (top right of this page - really useful feature [8D]) you'll find a few good threads on this subject - the same principles will apply to on-road or off-road models. If you have specific queries after that, then come back and folks here will be glad to help I'm sure (well except the lucky so and so's from California who don't have this problem [;)]). HTH. David

gonze to water proof a sevro/reciever use a ballon

servo: place servo in ballon without the servo horn on,once in place pierce a hole (small) where the servo horn stub is then streach the ballon so that the stub comes thru the hole u just made. add a little grease to this area around the hole and stub, this will help the servo run free and not catch on the ballon. have the wire exit fron the rear of the ballon and riptie the end to seal. the reciver is the same but u will not need to make any extra hole just place it in the ballon and seal with riptie, for esc's there are a few on the market now that are waterproof, its worth having one if u are going to use your car/buggy/truck alot in the rain /wet. msc dont seam to be affected much by water same as motorsbut will require matinance afterwards to keep them in tip top condition. hope this helps
