a 13T motor is a really fast motor. It should be really good in the TT01 chassis.

do you know the website it is off.

if you are going to put it in a tt01 you need an ESC, some bearings, a metal propshaft, aheatsink and a metal moder mount

try:

for the metal propshaft, aheatsink and a metal moder mount.

here: http://modelsport.co.uk/?CallFunction=Show...on&ItemID=16090

for the bearings

and here: http://modelsport.co.uk/?CallFunction=Cate...CategoryID=2020

for the esc.

They are not the best quality but they will last more than two days, lol. I would personally go for a higher turn motor though as it will have a longer lifespan.

Also the Purple Bulls conme in many variets of turns, just the the Havok's. The Havok and Purple Bull motors are non rebuildable ones, and without ball bearings AFAIK. It could be the lower turn ones have ball bearings (at no increase in price): The Pilot motor from Team Orion also have brass bushingsdown to 17 turn, and ball bearings from 15 turn and lower. [:0]

Anyway, I woudd really recommend a Peak Jaguar motor. It's rebuoldable and all turn variets have ball bearings. They come in 27, 23, 21, 19, 17, 15, 13 and I think also 11 turns. They all retail for the price of 31 euro's in Holland (recommended price from tamiya.nl).

I would suggest a 19 or 17 turn as they provide very good torque, speed and runtime. The 17 in my TA-03FS Corolla seems to offer the best compromise for both speed, torque and runtime in a on road. For a off-road, I would go for lower turns as you need the torque more.

I would check first if your ESC can handle it (a MSC won't). If you don't have one - look into that first! Also ballrace your car prior to adding extreme motors. Hope this helps! [:)]

This are the peak jaguar available:

PEK1220 Jaguar 11x2 $24.99

PEK1222 Jaguar 13x2 $24.99

PEK1224 Jaguar 15x2 $24.99

PEK1226 Jaguar 17x2 $24.99

PEK1228 Jaguar 19x2 $24.99

PEK1230 Jaguar 21x2 $24.99

PEK1232 Jaguar 23x2 $24.99

PEK1234 Jaguar 27x2 $24.99

Which one should i take that my car can handle (XB Pro TT-01 chassis, ESC: TEU-101BK)

I would get a 27 turn motor, maybe a 23 turn. For the 23 turn, check if the ESC can handle it first just to make sure. A 27t should be fast enough to start out with and will last a long time compared to lower turn motors. Also you will keep having a good runtime even from older generation batteries. [:)]

You'd need an alloy prop as the plastic one would go all floppy plus metal motor mount and heatsink to get rid of all the heat. Gearing could be a problem though and handling could be challenging. I'd go for a more sensible motor.

Just another warning: Motors can interfair with your radio, your distance can decrease a lot, it happened to me, i put something on the motor (solded it). But it aint strong enough, now i have to wait untill my LMS has them again.... I HATE WAITING!

Motor interference can be a pain, I have 5 capacitors on my motor a schottky diode and a schottky diode module all fitted to my motor, to get rid of heat and interference as my area is quite bad for it.

Just a paoint, with a 7 turn motor you will need to rebuild it every 2 runs or so and fit new brushes every 4 runs as its speed and power will just drop off to slower than a 27 rebuildable. 12 turn are quite the same high maintanance. I find 19 turn quad mag motors are great, can go for a long time without being rebuilt, and they can be over geared compared even to a 27 turn stock. But the 7 and 12 turn motors will need tiny wee pinion gears to save any damage to them.

Thanks

Anyone know where I can get the right capacitors for stopping interference. Took the car out last night and for the first time I've noticed, it took off on its own. It only got about 75/100 meters away. I'm running a TT-01, 17x2 turn motor, M-troniks ESC and a few other hopups. Fitted a schottky diode as recommended and grouped the cables as best I could. Reading through, I’ve heard bout schottky diode modules. Do these do the same as soldering the diode to the motor and where can you get them (had enough trouble getting just the schottky's).

Thanks in advance. Be nice for the car to last a bit before meeting a kerb!!

Cheers

Havok motors are upgraded stock motors with ball bearings. These are cheap motors and I am not sure of their quality. Motor quality is a real issue when selecting "low turns" engine. If I were to buy one of these I would probably take the 21 turn versions and avoid any Havok with 17turns or less.
