hi

as we all know most Tamiya cars now are the same chassis (TL-01, TA-04 etc) with a different Body slapped on top. But it has always been the case that Tamiya have reused parts and whole chassis: Top Force series, Egress and Avante, the Dyna Storm looks like it shares alot with the Dyna Blaster. I not saying this is bad, far from it, it makes cars cheaper and parts much easier to find. But my question is: which of the 58*** RC cars would get your vote for the most unique? Of course there are the Dump Truck and TXT-1, but which others? I don't mean just totally unique cars, but ones that in your opinion had the most effort put in to make them different.

Thanks

The Wild Dagger offroader is pretty unique. It uses a variation on the TL-01B chassis and uses 2 gearboxes to power the twin-motor 4WD system. Also, it is not much bigger than and can be set up like a stadium truck, but has the sheer power of a monster truck. And at an excellent price (£120 stock, but fully upgradeable). Excellent truck in my opinion![8D]

I would say The Fox must the regular production Tamiya car with the highest percentage of unique parts. Practically only the dampers, the wheels and the tires are common with other models.

Motor tranny combination of WD shared with the Wild Willy2. But I have to agree with your opinion that the WD is a really worth every dime!

I guess miramar is on a good track, I don't think that the Fox shares it's vital parts with other Tamiya's. What should it share with the Bear Hawk or Blitzer? Tub is different, tranny is different, front suspension is different. Oh I forgot the plastic bearings may be similar [}:)], sorry that was mean, but it cried for a penalty goal![;)]

Would have to agree with Eric (MIRIMAR) here.......

I reckon the Fox is a real unique vehicle. One fo the few that has never really been "cloned" for use with another body.
