I heard this rumor not too long ago. I heard they are ditching the F1's for the new nitro's that Tamiya is coming out with. Is this true? Any of you TCS racers out there got the skinny on this?[xx(]

Hi, I did Eurocup (UK) this year and I have heard the same 'rumours'. There is a lot about ditching F1 and introducing Nitro in the Eurocup Forums - unfortually you need to register just to view them [:(]. At the time of writing I believe no official news have been anounced.

There will be no F1 class in 2005 and this is from the horses mouth and will most probably be replaced by those cheap tt-01 nitro things.

It makes sense if you look at it from a sales and marketing point of view as bucket loads of those 1/10 nitro cars get sold to beginners which equals fresh racers.

The downside of this, for me at least, is a lot of the tracks on the eurocup will proably change to accomodate the nitros, last year a stage was hosted near me by the broxtowe model car club, however residential restrictions prevent nitro racing at the track so gut feeling at the club is we wont get to hold the competition there this year which is a shame as I have only recently got into rc cars and racing again and was really looking forward to this being a local event which I could take some friends who wouldnt normally be interested.

I guess this does mean that new tracks will be chosen in other places giving others the oppertunity i may lose though.
