Ok, Ok so it's not Tamiya, and its problem...But this seemed the most appropriate available forum to post in.

I am a relatively newish enthusiast and got me a HPI savage 25 RTR. I bought this to confirm to my neighbours and friends that I am indeed male.

I digress...When finished putting the batts in for the receiver I attached the glow starter, turned the rotostart and alas...It started up...then died, and made a little clonk sound.

Since then [ last night ] I cannot get it to start up...nothing happens. I am fairly sure it is just something I am doing wrong rather than faulty or damaged parts.

I am very new to nitro cars and only have my Tamiya Electrics before this... Any suggestions? Please reply in dimwit english...My language.

Many thanks

glow plug good ?? glow ignitor good ?? carb needs tuned, go back to stock specs, read the little motor manual if you have it for needle settings. make sure you are cracking that glow plug loose when starting too, or the roto start will rip the one way bearing right outta there !! first thing i do to a rtr savage, is remove the roto !!!

If everything is charged and working,ie[glow plug glow starter, good battery in roto start],i always heat the engine head up first with a hair dryer it helps to free the piston in the liner...

thanks geezers for the tips, i think your hair dryer tip is the way forward as i posted on the HPI forum and thats what i have been told. Wish me luck...

Again, thanks
