Bought a TT-01 about 6/7 weeks ago and i have finally taken it out in good weather for a thrash.

How dissapointed was i with the speed of it.

I have fully ball raced the car and kept all other bits stock to see how fast it actually is.

It was really slow, especially racing my M03 mini that is stock aswell.

Can anyone give me some tips or advice as to what may be wrong.

Im pretty sure the speed controller is set up ok as it accelerates ok but has no top end speed.

I was also beaten by a brand new built Baja Champ with standard everything!

HELP!

Sounds about normal to be honest, both the TT01 and TL01 lack top speed in regular form - it's worth if sticking with the regular motor overgearing it with the upgrade spur gears and large 24 tooth pinion. Makes a massive difference with only a small knock on the acceleration, ESC can easily cope with this - the only thing you may do over time is strain the motor but these standard motors are very cheap so I wouldn't worry too much about that!

Yes - the upgrade spurs are 53665 and the 24/25 pinions set is 50477, both together give a significant speed increase but best to stick with the standard motor with this setup as it will put a lot of strain on anything warmer (however, speed with this on is such that you might not want a quicker motor anyhow).

Kool, will place an order later this week.

Do you still have the Scooby and Focus TT01's on sale? As a mate wants one complete with radio, charger and battery.
