Hi

I recently bought a Gravel Hound and have built it - all good. Wanted to up the speed though - i was going to purchase the the Tamiya Sport Tuned Motor.... but then heard about the super stock motors... specifically the SUPER STOCK MOTOR RZ - whats the implications of using this motor? specs seem higher than the sport tuned RS540 but would really appreciate some advice especially with any impication for the speed controller etc

many thanks! :)

It's worth if sticking with the regular motor overgearing it with the upgrade spur gears and large 24 tooth pinion. Makes a massive difference with only a small knock on the acceleration, ESC can easily cope with this - the only thing you may do over time is strain the motor but these standard motors are very cheap so I wouldn't worry too much about that!

[8D][;)][:I]Hi I thought you might like to know that you should avoid hitting solid objects with the front wheels as the front suspension bracket shears off very neatly requiring chassis replacement as its part of the bathatub chassis and at circa £8 every time plus rebuild its not funny[:I]

Thanks Tamiya why cant you make it like most of your other models which only require lower gearcase replacement[?]

Well thats the end of my moan and advice otherwise its a good model, I run it with all the current hopups and a 19Turn motor and its very fast its just my driving and that chassis mod that needs improving[:D][;)]

Why don't Tamiya do what other manufacturers do and make it strong enough to withstand the impact or make the suspension brackets as easily replaceable separate parts.[:(!]
