ive got a nosram dominator speedo in my b4 and it stutters like mad under accelration.

ive got an orion core 12double motor wired straight to it.

futaba 40 mghz am radio in the car.

its got a scotgy diode and supressors on the motor.

ive tried differant radio and that doent cure it,but if i try different batteries ie;stutters with 3000-but with 3300nimhs it works ok,

gets really anoying when pulling out of hairpins as it gets left for dead for a couple of seconds then kicks back in and its away? its weird.

any help please someone its driving me crackers!!

Maybe the car is overgeared and/or the ESC with its 11T limit is too close to the 12 turns of the motor? It can also be that one battery can't provide enough max current, so that the car stutters or the opposite, i.e. because it can't provide too high current, the current doesn't reach the ESC limits (more unlikely)

Cheers

Seems like that 300o battery pack is the problem. As DJTheo said, maybe it's struggling to supply sufficient voltage when the motor is demanding maximum current.

Its the 3000s not the ESC. Even the best 3000s do not have as much punch as the cheapest 3300s. If the battery is a standard stick pack the cells will also be fastened together by tabs which are welded with tiny spot welds which also limit current flow.

If you are using a 12 turn motor for racing you should be using 3300s as well for the extra performance. If you want to use 3000s try turning down the punch control on the ESC.
