hi sam

i was looking for other diffrences any body can say its lighter but maybe someone with a real nolige of these cars can tell me why its not suitable for the tl01b cars and any other diffrences as in are there any other pinion options other than the std 18 & 20 and is it a lot weeker ? are there any other options for the light weight chassis that you cant fit on a standard tl01 chassis etc etc etc so if anyone out there can give me any realistic info on the chassis other than mad bulls comment please let me know

cheers

Basically what sam said is correct there isn't much difference otherwise,it's been known to break a lot easier than the normal TL chassis that's probably why it's not recommended for the TL buggies or general mucking about.

Total waste of time - put it this way, when we post them out they don't weigh less than the regular one to even drop one division on the postal rate, yet they are not as strong and prone to twisting. I think the saving is something like 18 grams! It's the self same mold though - no reason why you couldn't fit to an offroad car, except that it'd break quicker!

nice one guys cheers for that

just thinking of building a fully hopped-up tlo1 as a project with loads of blue alloy parts speed tuned gears etc but the chassis sounds very limited

realy want it to go very fast and look good so do the speed tuned gears make a real diffrence or would i be better of with a diffrent chassis and if so does anybody know of a more solid chassis to start from?????

looking for approx 50mph with a 13 turn motor plus light weight hense wanting to fit the alloy

cheers

The speed tuned gears drop the overall gear ratio, the same as fitting a larger pinion on the motor. The standard chassis is the strongest one available. The carbon propshaft should be the first chassis upgrade after ballraces.

And if you want to save weight stay away from the alloy parts. You fit them for extra strength, the plastic parts are lighter.

I did this to my TL01 lightweight chassis, bearings, speed tuned gears, carbon shaffts, carbon prob, have a 22x1 motor in at the moment, waiting on a decent ESC for the 13x2 i have sitting there, had the 13x2 in there till the ESC shut down.., and yes its pretty quick :)

Havent really noticed any issues with the lightweight chassis, and the car has had a few crashes now.

Cheers
