I haven't been into the R/C scene for a few years now and I was thinking of getting another Tamiya on-road...

There's just soo many different chassis models out now and I'm so confused. So in your opinions which one of the many Tamiya models do you think is fastest and which do you consider to be best?

Is it the:

TL01

TB01

TB02

TT01

TA05

or some other model number that I should be aware of?

I would like to know, and any help would be appreciated.

Of those, I'd probably go for the TA-05, if you're planning to race it. TB-02 isn't a bad choice either now they've come down in price, but they're a bit on the heavy side.

Depends on your pocket, from your list the TA05 would be my choice.

Add on the EVO4 and the TRF415 higher prices but pucker racers, then its down to personal choice of shaft versus belt drive; been discussed at length previously in the forums, these racers have and are having upgrades and revised models issued as the worlds and other international competitions dictate.

At our club thetop Tamy's are EVO's and TRF's in MS and MSX forms,I start racing my TA05 this week, testing shows it to be the equal to my Evo at the moment; hope this helps

okay, thanks a lot. I'll look into the EVO's and the TRF's.

also, I see that drifting type cars are getting popular, would it be wise to have 2 cars? one for drifting and one for regular racing or can one car do both?

Also how hard is it to learn to drift? What would I need to get my old TA03F-Pro to drift? I just wanna try it out...it looks really fun.
