Well, first off all, did it come with an ESC? I would not recommend to drive it with a MSC! AND, if you already use an ESC, can it handle 10 turn motor??

For cleaning, search the forum or check the website of fantom!!

So low turn motors need very big gear ratio as otherwise they overheat and very frequent service (commutator trueing and brush change), not very good for a beginner.

It came with a Novak Rooster Reversible electronic speed controller, Ball bearings throughout, new tires, Motor is a Fantom 10 Turn Triple and is virtually brand new with around 1 hr running time in total, Dean's ultra plugs and heavy duty wiring

sounds fun

Fantom motors (especially those with quad magnets) tends to get very hot, so you should use a very small pinion.

Go with the smallest pinion you gan get in your car , and gear up if you feel the motor is not running so hot. You should be able to hold your finger on it for about 3 sec's after a run.
