Mission Setup

Getting back into racing, and need some help setting up my car.

What I'll be running:

Schumacher Mission S1

Orion Core motor

Schumacher Mini Pin yellows

LRP Runner plus ESC

Cheap ACOMS servo

Standard ACOMS Receiver

Mini-T transmitter

The track is a polished wooden floor track, with only one straight, of maybe 10 metres at most.

Tricky and twisty, so accelleration is more important than top speed.

I'm going to be using the 17T belt gear (or whatever it's called [])

You could try the setup sheets on Schumachers website

but I don't expect them to be much use for your particular track. It's best to start with the kit setup and start from there. I would expect softer springs being needed though. Best advice is to ask the other racers for their setups, especially gear ratios.

Also print/photocopy of some set-up sheets,so then you can always refer back to an oringal set-up if need be.

I meant at the track you are racing at. I could give you an idea of gear ratios for my clubs track as it is small as well, but we race on carpet so the ratios we use will not help you. It's been about 20 years since I raced on polished wood so I can't help on setup. For gearing if you don't know where to start use a small pinion and work your way up, it's better for your motor to be undergeared rather than overgeared.
