Help needed tuning

Thanks for the help before. Much appreciated. I have a further question:

if the pinion on the motor needs fewer teeth for immediate speed with low top speed, and the reverse for a pinion with more teeth - what about the cog (large one) actually inside the car. The one with 60 odd teeth. What kinds of combinations produce the best results?
