I have a TL-01 with ball bearings, a Traxxas XL-10, a Traxxas Stinger 20-turn, otherwise stock. I want a quick and cheap mod motor to swap in occasionally for racing. What motor should I get? The XL-10 has a 10-turn limit. I don't want to do any maintenance on the motor, just run it until the brushes die.

Thanks!

I have heard this motor is fast yet requires little maintenace. www.modelsport.co.uk/?CallFunction=ShowSpecification&ItemID=18475

However running a motor 'untill it dies' is a costly sollution instead maybe consider a brushless combo?

Using a brushless motor means longer runtimes, extreme speed (the slowest brushless is the equivalent speed to a 11-turn,) and virtually NO MAINTENACE [:)] the cheapest brushless combo (esc + motor) I have seen was around £100.

Current mob of V2 (round brush at an angle) mod motors are pretty good, they go a long time between maintenance. They are not "cheap-n-nasty" but.

Just be careful on TL01... mod motors need lower gearing (smaller pinion) to let them rev properly to make their serious power.

Brushless is always good and I love the Novak systems.
