What fuel (available in the UK) is best to run a new FS 12LT engine in ?

There is so much available, I don't want to choose the wrong type and damage the engine....

Any help greatly appreciated.

What nitro % does it recommend in the instructions?

I used to use Blue Thunder 20% (sometimes the 10%) in the OS 15 CV-X I had in my HPI.

I tried the Model Technics brand of fuels before as it is the most common and easy to get but I found the highish oil content tended to clog the engine quite badly,at least for me anyway.

Either way try to buy locally as postage is quite expensive for even small amounts,Modelsport charge £6 for delivery of 1 Quart.

marcus,

ive just finished breaking in my TG10 you can see in my showroom, i used bluethunder 10% and it works fine

Dont think the recommended tamiya fuels are available in the UK so you have to find an alternative

Hi,

I use Blue Thunder Race prep 20% nitro and use it in all my engines. Gives good power and the engines seem to love it. They don't end up gooey either once you finish for the day.
