Wanted Sand Scorcher parts

I have just bought a sand scorcher of ebay at a reasonable price, there are a few parts missing, these are:-

Front lights and indicators

Exhaust

Wing mirrors

Number plates

Rear lights

complete driver and wheel

Also how do i tell if the body is original, is there a mark on it somwhere and if so where?

If any one can help please let me know thanks

Steve, you will soon find out why it was at reasonable price....

the missing items are the hard to come by items.

There are repro parts available though that will be a lot cheaper.

the original body is white plastic and has small letters in the inside of the roof "1:10 VW" if I am correct.

Original SS Bodies are marked "VW Buggy" underneath, near the top of the windshield.

i can`t really tell it has that much paint on it, is there any way of telling visually until i get time to strip it down, thanks

does the sand scorcher have different mounting holes compared to the beetle and blitzer beetle?

i don't have an original SS Body but doesn't the SS body have no door handles and holes to fit the chrome ones as the other Hard bodys have door handles pre molded ?

I can get most of the parts from RCGrabBag but the one part i am struggling with is the chrome surrounds that go around the headlights, can`t find anyone that has these, is there any more repro sites out there apart from rcgrabbags or has any one got these, thankss

Thanks BLUEFOOT had a look they do look the same, will order a set and see what there like, had a look at the body also it does have holes for the door handle so i think it must be an original SS shell, thanks for the information ShenUK

got a driver now and the chrome surrounds, still after the lights, number plates, exhaust and wing mirrors..
