Hi there,

This question is probably asked many times , but hopefully someone can answer it? [:)]

I'd like to know what sort of speed my car will do , fitted with a 15 Turn M-Troniks Pro Vision Modified motor ?

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the link but I didnt really understand it [8)]

Is there an easier way of working it out , in mph ?

Thanks

There is actually not enough info for that, What is your gear ratio? Maybe what car/truck do you have, maybe i can find the gear ratio and speed of the motor. It's not a hard math calc actually, just need some info, worst case is number of teeth on pinion, # of teeth on spur/counter and # on diff, with motor RPM it's just theretical math.

Could get into Roll out and other to be more exact but, it's more work and still won't be perfect due to battery and friction.

[:D] post all the info and i'll do the calc. [8D]

hi

it would be interesting to see how the calculation of speed by free-spinning motor rpm with gear ratio and wheel size, would compare to actual top speed by distance/time. I would have thought the calculation would be a long way off without taking into account real-world friction factors, but as i said: it would be interesting to see.

It would be definetely long way off, except if you gear your car very low and use a long straight.

Those calculations give only very "theoretical results", the formula is easy, speed (km/h) = motor rpm (1/min) * 60 (min) * tire diameter (mm)* 3.14 / (gear ratio (for example 7.8) * 1.000.000 (mm/km))

and 1mph is approx. 1.6km/h

Cheers
