Bought a set of Vanquish wheels from George Turick.

One and a half months and still nothing in the mail. Does anyone know this person? Hrmf.. trading on tamiyaclub will never be the same for me [8)]

Can't remember, this was back in august, but his e-mail adress is george_turick@yahoo.com

It was only a set of wheels, so no big loss but still, I think you should ship items once you've sold them, not leave people waiting, I mean it's X-mas soon!

All i know is that he is in the states,. ive kept all the mails etc,. last correspondance i had was in July,. lucky i bough 2 other ranger grills from another TC guy [:)] ,. looks like i may have lost my cash on the other one though [:(]

That guy George is bad news. He made arrangements to buy 3 cars from me and then stopped responding to emails. Sorry to see others dealings with him were worst.

Whilst I agree with whats been said it is possible some nasty fate has be-fallen the man,for all we know he has recently died!

Would seem strange that someone who it seemed was quite well regarded suddenly "turned bad",just a thought.

Well the post does say that "George Turick" is posting on websites as we speak, so he is obviously not taken ill, he's just ignoring us.

Oh well. I just hope people read this and take notice, so he doesn't scam anyone else [:(!]

Edit:

I've browsed some other forums, and it seems apparant that he has actively pursued "selling" items and receiving payment for said items without shipping them over and over again, so I have decided to report him to the local authorities.

As far as I can tell, he lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

I encourage everyone else to also file a complaint, it's very easy to do so - they have a website where you can file online:

Basicly, they told me that if they get numerous complaints there might be some action, so if everyone who hasn't received items from him, just go there and report him, there will be something done about this.

It seems apparant to me that quite a vast number of people have been scammed by him over the last year.

I have been sick lately and yes there is no excuse on what has been done I need to get this in order please let me know what you have sent and I can get it taken care of, you lose thought of things when you find out you have cancer, so please let me know and I will get it taken care of, I sent some things out a while ago and some of the items came back and that was while I was in the hospital.

It seems strange to me that when I send George Turick a message saying "I've reported you to the police", then all of a sudden he has come on here and says "I've got cancer!!"...

I can't know if he's telling the truth, of course it is very sad if he has cancer - but then on the other hand it very soon gets very nasty if he does NOT in fact have cancer and is just SAYING so to make up an EXCUSE.... wouldn't that be rude, and reflect negatively on his character?

If I had happened to have to go to the hospital, I would have tried to contact people and told them "I'm sorry, I've taken ill so there might be a bit of a delay with your items."

Makes you wonder, doesn't it?

Also, I've not gotten anything in the mail, despite getting a message from Turick saying he has posted stuff for me.

You know this sounds like a guy I dealt with over 5 years ago on ebay..He used the name "Nemisis"..and that he was...Had cancer and could not get to the post office...but he had no problem getting to his computer and kept selling for several months...when caught up with he mailed a couple of items but he owed over 25 people by then..I never got my parts nor did many others...Its a pyrimid game pay a few and the money keeps rolling in...but may be the guy is legit but I doubt it...regards Jerry
