holes?

i need some holes for my new shell, i've been told i can drill the body but i'd prefer to buy genuine tamiya holes if poss[]any thoughts? me?...boared?...[:I]

Yes it is possible to buy the holes you need,Tamiya made them there's 5 in a packet(1 extra to go in your spares stash) they're excellent quality and extremely light being made from an aerospace alloy called Unobtainium!!

They were discontinued around 2 years ago so they're pretty hard to find and do turn up on eBay now and then! The last eBayer who had some also had packets of sparks for Tecnituned motors!!

I've got plenty of spare Tamiya holes left over from my Monster Beetle lighting project. You have to be careful to use the correct ones though, mine are for hard shells, and therefore are deeper than the ones made for Lexan, so probably won't be any use to you [].

I have a few bashed Tamiya lexan shells at home I would happily sell. Not only do they have the mounting holes but also a few bnus ones in various sizes. I haven't tried it, but I should imagine they are transferable[]

I have some Kyosho holes, they'e roughly the same size as tamiya ones![]

Most LHS will sell them, they are generally kept with the tartan paint []

Yup. I found mine. They were there laying on the bench exactly where I put them. I put them in a paper bag just so I wouldn't loose them again. Funny this is, I just showed my 20 year old son-he couldn't see them. He just left the room muttering something about me being nuts!!! Huh??? I swear there in there,just going to check again..............

i've just heard rumours that tamiya are planning to re-issue vintage style holes so don't be drawn into jakes expensive re-pro items[].as far as the tartan paint goes, i have some in poly carb form but can only use it on the drivers side of my shells due to only having right handed paint brushes/air brush.[]
