The only way to clean out a sealed Tamiya motor is to flush it through with plenty of motor spray until it runs out clear (take the motor out of the car first). then a drop of oil on the bushings at either end before you put it back in.

That's just asking for a preview on my site and going off- topic! You are too late to stop me... [;)] Muhahaha! [}:)]

Anyways, It hasn't been updated in a while, but I will soon start rebuilding the whole stuff and ad MANY new cars, should be cool when I'm finished! [8D]

Motor bearings (especially standard 540 types) do tend to get nosey and make all kinds of squeeky/screechy noises when they get dry, the solution is quite simple :)

remove the motor, put a small blob of 3-in-1 oil (or similar light general purpose lubricating oil) onto the bearings at each end (thats the bit in the middle where the metal shaft pokes through) then work in the oil by slowly rotating the motor back and forwards then maybe apply a little drop more, then hold the motor steady and run it up in both directions to work the oil deep into the bearings and that should be that :)

DON'T use WD-40 or Penatrating/releasing type lubricants, as although they are quite good and quick to use when lubricating bearings, they do tend to eveporate and dissapate quite quickly leaving your bearings dry as a bone and back to square one, when using proper oils this dosent happen, it sticks around and lubricates the bearings far more effectivly in this sort of application.

I hope that was clear and simple enough for you ;)

HELP! [V]

I Have tried everything and its still not working!!!!! [8)]

Its DEFINITLY the motor as when you roll the car along at top speed and release the accelarator the noise goes away. To further this i took apart all but a couple of parts and ran it and it still made the noise.[:(]

So what do i do now [?]
