New price trends? Record body set price?

That mini shell has been re-listed several times, with no bids. Note that it is not a complete body set, as it does not have the chrome grill, bumpers, driving lights, outside mirrors.

I used to have a Sand Scorsher and a Rough Rider when I was 12... obviously drove them both into the ground and gave them to a charity shop when I moved out. How much do I regret that!!!

Now I desperately want a Porsche 959, my dream car when I was a kid. I looked at the completed items and thought it was a bit steep at £600 for a new one, but thought "what the badword - you always wanted one"... only problem is there is a buyer called fergushud who has bought a mint rolling chassis, and the most recent nib kit for over $1200. Have I missed the boat???? I think so!

Does anybody know whether Tamiya will ever re-release this set? Or how about a 1/8 tgx version!

Maybe I will get a Taisan in the meantime.

Alot of the current price rises on NIB kits in the past two weeks were a result of one bidder who was messing around. The $1500 Countach for example, check and youll find the high bidder is Naru'd

You say messing around but obviously somebody else bid higher so people will pay that amount. Only takes two people...

too true, thats the way an auction works, its not bartering!

Not really, the Naru'd high bidder wont be paying for it and while the seller can issue a personal offer to the second highest bidder my experience has been 9 out of 10 times they wont take it.

As you say it only takes two people, but for it to be a valid price payment has to be made, which is highly doubful in this case.

Discounting the high bid the final price would have been $1000 based on the second and third highest bids
