I'd like to hear some stories about E-Bay that you have, mostly about lucky deals you've had, stuff you bought without a pic and turned out to be amazing, or at least better than you hoped.

We ALL know about Seans Sand Scorcher super buy, stuff like that.

I think we need to hear good stories to give us all hope that it could happen to anyone of us, one day.......

Well, I got my new built Renault Mk.22 F-2 (+manual, no box) for €100.

And I've now got a great deal on the following items:

  • Mini Cooper M-01
  • butchered Sand Rover to strip parts from
  • Datsun 280ZX (RM Mk.2), missing nearly everyting with ruined body (some wanted to make a moster truck of it or something?!?!)
  • Nice (no re-relaese) Ferrari 312 T3, missing some parts but I think I got those
  • a used Bear Hawk
  • a used Super Hornet
  • some weird home-made car, useless to me, will be sold
  • a strange but funny go-kart model, a keeper!
  • a lot of HotShot bits, maybe enough to built a whole car from (but I don't think so... icon_smile_sad.gif )
  • a Subaru Brat body (used)
  • 2 old transmitters
  • and some parts that need indentification, I have no idea what these are (some are Hotshot)
  • the Sand Rover, the Mini, the Super Hornet, the Bear Hawk and the HotShot came with a manual

I now this is a difficult question, especially when you've never seen them, but what is this whole pile of RC stuff worth? Maybe a minimum and maximum, I want to know what it's worth before I tell you, I'm a bit scared I payed to much icon_smile_shock.gif . And I had to travel to the other side of the country to get them (Holland seems very big when you live in the north-west and you've got to go all the way south east.... icon_smile_wink.gif This cost me another €50 (a Land Rover Defender isn;t the most 'economical' car.... icon_smile_wink.gif ) This trip instantly doubled the amount of kilometers it ever travelled... icon_smile_shock.gif

I've also got to check my local paper, all Bruisers seem to come from there... icon_smile_wink.gif I wish you all good luck, because I just can get a good deal here (maybe I'm not looking that hard... icon_smile.gif ) The only thing I see are TL-01's for way to much money. Even saw a Ferrari 360 like mine for €350 !!! (I paid far less for it NIB) Hope to get a SS and a 3-speed soon, it's these models I really want now.

Cheers,

Sjoerd

I love Sand Scorchers, but I don't have one... Please help this poor collector...icon_smile.gifid=size1>

I have had mixed dealings.

* brought a pajero for $75 back in Jan. It look like it was sanded with 30 grit sand paper. Oh well, live and learn.

* Brought a falcon under the pretense of Tamiya 1941 Ford and it was in suprisingly good shape for $29 found a Falcon body set in Japan for on $20. Once I get this it will almost new.
