Do they come in waves?

Is it just me, or have you noticed that out of the blue, you will suddenly find a bunch of a certain type of car on ebay (US) in the same week from different sellers? For example, I've noticed 4 or 5 'F1 tyrell 6 wheelers' in the last week or so. Also a large number of XR311 in the last few weeks than I'm used to seeing. A month or so ago, there were a bunch of XC mu's and Pajeros for a week.

Thats alxways good for buyers. It brings down the cost by having the same number of bidders bidding for 5 cars instead of one and putting on a premium price. It also gives you a chance if you miss the 1st one or 2.

what i hate is when you get your car rady to go on Ebay and then find that somebody else has just put on on there. Its not worth listing yours then because it pulls both prices down. Just have to wait. Makes it a buyers market though.

Or some sellers might be tempted to list theirs only when something identical sells for a good price.

Allot of it has to do with what is going on Japanese auctions.........once one or two of these have been sold - others jump on the band wagon.

I think "greed" is a little harsh - as if someone wants to sell something - and someone wants to buy it - everyones happy.

It is all speculation - sell for a higher price to allow the purchase of more......what goes around comes around !!

Yeh, noticed the price dropping Theo, and just as i need to sell some kits ,well soon anyway!, hopefully it will rise again at xmas. But i need to stop spending aaggghhh! too addicted !

I think most ppl have spotted that one claire, i have seen it in other forum's aswell so don't worry too much .

Need a forum especially for it, we can have bets on who will win it! and how much it goes for?, i predict a very sharp rise nearer the end, safe bet that one $475.00 + easy!

I've notice the same thing. It seems that way with parts as well. I remember back at the beginning of the year, there was flood of Sand Scorcher Paddle Track tire sets. I remember seeing one go for $30USD. Doh!!!
