Just tell people about Tamiyaclub. Why pay 10$ when you can get them here free? Another great reason for the existance of this site.

Gheez...

I sent an email to this guy who is calling these Monster Beetle/Sand Scorcher bodies, saying "The body is the same exact mold used for the Sand Scorcher". Which is obviously NOT true.

I don't know if there ever was a black Monster Beetle body, but from the narrow fenders I would guess these are actually Blitzer Beetle.

I've got no reply from the person... And of course they didn't change the description. Maybe we should start a blacklist. I don't think this would be against eBay rules, but I'm not sure.

It would basically list the ebay userid and the listing offense, which has to be verifiable by some other TamiyaClub members for some time (before the item becomes unavailable).

Anyways, at least we have this place to ask other people advice and let others know about these wrongly listed items.

Also, a little while back I got this thing:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=1775447182

After I bought it, someone emailed the seller that it was a Super Champ box, not Sand Scorcher. The seller emailed me about it and so I didn't buy it. The seller was all good about it.

Whoever it was that emailed the seller, thank you much!

I didn't know how you could tell the difference, but I know they can't be used for a Scorcher without modifying.

Looking at the pictures with a Sand Scorcher box in hand, I suppose the easiest way to tell is the holes in the triangles in the front?

HI!

It was me he was talking about. I`m just angry at the guys when they sell something that it is not the one you think it is. I mail the guy and I just tell him that is NOT an SS gear box and the guy went very angry to me. Next day he said sorry to me! He changed in the description after I mailed him that this gearbox fit SS wich is not true. But I had good time with him.

yeah, the holes in the front and the two rear holes are a couple of mm bigger. You have to dill out the suspension arm and use a larger diameter connecting pin. You can use the normal scorcher arm and pin but it does not fit well. The easiest way to tell is the holes at the front.

I think its wrong for people to sell things that they say are one thing and are not. Fair enough if they don't know but after emailing them, they should add/modify item description.

Could the seller be a Tamiya Club member?!?

The manual he is also selling he could have taken from Tamiya Club!

Just a paranoid thought
