I'm a sunglass bidder! Are we really that likely to welch on the bid?

Having said that I have just benefited from a sunglass bidder failing to buy the NIB 959 body they bid $500 for. Managed to do a deal with the seller for quite a bit less.

I s'pose you gotta start somewhere, but it is worrying when all your bids are shaders.

I tried selling a TB01 a while back, first wave of bidders were all shades, one withdrew his bid, swiftly followed by the other 2!

Reading their reasons was a bit of a laugh, all said they had contacted me when only 1 (a club member) actually did!

I got this auction in my faves, just to see if the shaders feedback goes up or down!

Twinset, you might need to check your e-mail client. I know that all of the questions on my auctions that get sent to my hotmail account end up in the Junk mail folder. No matter how many times I specify it's not junk mail, it still ends up there.

True, but 99% gets to me.

BTW Jim - Have taken Super champ posts off and drawn up copies, will be posting them tomorrow! Apologies for delay.

Better to sign up to another email service, anyone is better then hotmail, it is only spam, has few space, doesnt allow big emails and doesnt have pop3...

Hotmail does seem 2b poor, just got a resend from a guy saying he loses hotmail replies somewhere.

I know ebay isn't the best way to communicate, every now and then I send myself a mail thru them, and if it does ever turn up, it's usually late! - The end of auction bulletins are a joke too, these regularly arrive two days after the auction ended.

yeah, Ive noticed that myself. Also, I've noticed on stuff that I didn't win, will reappear after I've deleted it. I think that a server crashes and they use some type of backup XX days ago when they do a restore.

Call me stupid if you like but why do people have Hotmail Accounts? As far as i have seen, you get an email address with your ISP anyway. These are always good accounts (so far anyway) so why would you want hotmail with all its junk mail that you get? I have never really looked at hotmail to know but it just got me wondering.

You can actually filter out the junk mail within hotmail. Does it work, about 80% of the time. If you use exclusive filtering, then no one can get to you without being on your address book. Slick, eh?icon_smile_clown.gif

As far as I can tell, I have never had a problem with hotmail. I use it because it can be accessed from anywhere (ie, from work) whereas I can only access my ISP account mail from home.
