People ending auctions

I have noticed recently alot of people ending thier listings in the last few minutes by canceling all bids, ?????????? why? i know that u can end your listing for certain reasons but someppl seem to end it becuase it hasn't reached what they want and they didn't put a reserve on it, then relisting, isn't this supposed to be outlawed by ebay?

Also noticed others eg. a top force shell, advertised as evo, (the same) went up to nearly 50 uk pounds but at the last minute the seller cancelled all bids, i would of thought that was a good price.

Any thoughts ppl? it's twisting my melons man.

Instead of someone posting a thread on a board about "how much do ya think this is worth" they put up an auction to see how much someone would pay for it. I personally think that sucks since someone is really willing to pay that price and then to get it pulled back from them at the last min.

Your singing to the choir. I also hate it when sellers end their auction early. It could be for a number of reason but I think it is mainly becuase they are unhappy with the price the auction is going. It is really to their detrement as on really hot stuff, all the real bids come in the last 2 minutes. In many instances they are doing themselves a great diservice.

While people like to think that Ebay monitors this, I think they are sadly mistaken. Unless it is brought to their attention, Ebay does nothing. Remeber it is the sellers and not the buyers that are their bread and butter.

Some of my auctions ended for less than I expected. That the way the game goes. It all evens out as their have been times when my auctions exceeded my expectations

Yeh if it's a friend or someone you know and trust then it makes a difference. Rather give my goodies to someone i know. . Only downfall is you'll never know how high it would have gone , especially in those last few seconds[].
