Not smart enough to save myself, matey - I can only speak from experience. [:)]

We have half (exactly) a SuperChamp sitting around just because it was "too cheap to refuse"... its been sitting around like that for years now, a "one day I'm gunna do it up" project. [;)] That said, I don't learn quik either... 'cos shortly after that some kid had a half-dead Willy and I jokingly offered $20 for it... and he ACCEPTED. [V] What to do - have to honour the 'bid' & fork out the twenner and bring home another cu-ft of junk.

A superchamp like that shouldn't go for more than 150. To be honest I don't put an ounce of **** towards radio gear. With gear or without 150. When I see a car like that it screams runner!!! Wash it charge it run it bash it :)

As far as a half dead willy. I would buy it for 20 fix it as a runner for when friends come over :) I have a pair of hornets just for that reason.

I wouldn't pay more than 150 for that SC. you will spend a fortune to restore it. It Needs original rear tires and the fronts are probably dry rotted $100. the body could be rehabilitated but you will need asticker kit $50. Miscelaneous parts needs that can't be seen in the picture $30. No you win the auction becuase no one else bids $125. so far you got $305 into it. You could purchase on NIB from hong kong for about $400-$450. It's just not worth it.

Buy what you like. I am doing an Super Champ restore right now. It is turning out sweet. I bought a super champ because I wanted one so bad back in the day but could only afford a Frog.

Amen to that. This hobby of mine is becoming to almost bothersome for me. I approached it all wrong. My sole intention was to end up with a Sand Scorcher, I got one[:D]. Now I am restoring it. However, I bought a Tamiya Pajero restored it and drove it in my basement, I sold it and didn't make any money on it[V]. I bought a Falcon for Cheap and spent an additional $50 getting that thing back into shape. Luckily the parts for this where not that bad and most of the vehicle was in great shape to begin with. I'll probably save that for me youngest. The Bear hawk was a great bargin and my oldest son drives that.

Unfortunately, I bought a Black foot. I originally purchased this for $50 and probably spent an additional $150 in restoration. Will I get that out it? No[xx(][:(!]. Looking back on all of this past year, the year I started this endevaour, I'd been better off buying a NIB Sand Scorcher for the amount of money sunk into getting to where I am.

On the other hand, its a hobby[8)].

Well I have one rule when it comes to my collection:

ONLY SELL TO MAKE ROOM FOR SOMETHING NEW!!

I would rather trade than sell, or sell low so somebody could get enjoyment out of my item. (WITHIN REASON -NO ITS NOT FOR SALE [:)])

Another goal of mine is to have a runner version. Not every car but like a my SS(Blitzer Shell) or my Wild One, Blackfoot, b2b, etc. Thats what makes this fun.

So if you want it buy it slap some non stock tires on it and go go go.

Well, if my RC budget wasn't blown (until 1/2003 at least), I'd buy that one for the opening price. I really wanted a Super Champ when I was a kid. That one looks pretty nice to me. I'd double check that the body was not cracked.
