well, now one has been listed for sale it must be possible to get. I have never seen a black porsche yet so in my experience that would be more rare! Depends on how you want to look at it [;)]

Is it just me or are there a lot of auctions being ended like this lately?

I'm newish to this game of "buy/sell" on e-Bay. Why do people end auctions like this? Is it someone mailing them with a good price to end it now?[?]

Yes like an inofficial BIN without ebay fees, this must be the most often reason, another one is to see the interest or market price of model, for their own contemption or to sell outside eBay... Another reason must be if they see the auction isn't going as high as they expected and they didnt put (appropriate) reserve or changed their mind...

Dont think so, its the 2nd or 3rd I think I have seen on eBay... Some old on-roads are also extremly rare NIB. Still cant believe that the Audi which was literally thrown in dozens out of shops for half price in Germany is so rare now... [:0]

Even NIB Black 934 has passed eBay, but the auction was... ended early... [}:)][xx(]

I'm sooooo happy this was ended early. It just had 'divorce' written all over it [:D]

Seriously, this one is the highest on my wishlist right now, in that condition or new built. But I have a 'buy freeze' until we have moved [:(] There's no way I could not have bid on this one though...

So please, if you have one of these, do NOT contact me. [8D]

Ive seen several black porsches, even sold one, but never the Quattro.

For myself I get a request for almost every vintage kit I list for auction to end it early and sell it outside of ebay so this is likely to have happened here.

Problem is if you do it once youve got to do it for everyone and then no one trusts your listings, youll get abusive emails from potential bidders and the buyer has no obligation to follow through, or will try to renegotiate the price.

drives you mad when you bid and they end the auction early and cancel your bid. If thats the way things are going then i am going to have to keep emailing the seller of everything i want to buy asking them either to keep it running or putting in an outside bid myself. Imagine if everybody on Ebay did that. Oh well...
