Should I have bought this?

I've always wanted a Brat and saw this one on BIN, so I jumped. Although I dislike the space chassis, that gearbox and front suspension (what's with the cheesy 'wire' suspension arms?), I really like the way the Brat looks.

I've since heard from the seller that the body is not cracked. (phew).

Assuming that the deal goes well, my plans are to put a 380 motor back in, restore the body and make it a 'Sunday runner'. I don't plan to spend the big bucks on NIB tires/wheels, I'll just find something which looks good with whatever color I paint the body. No plans to add the original decals. I really only like decals on Buggy and Race cars. I prefer the clean look on the scale-looking cars..

This one will have a home next to my Frog and Blackfoot.

Seller "auctions!" on eBay has often some nice wheels and tires similar to the original ones but which are bigger and posibly would look nicer on it and wouldn't cost a fortune.

Well, I got it. It looks good. Body is not cracked. Most of the body parts are present. Chassis looks complete. It even has the battery door clip. I'm very happy with it.
