I did'nt know you could make your feedback private.

Seems very dodgy to me. I don't think you should be allowed to do that.

You have to ask why the seller would want to?[?]

I guess their feedback is not made public as they are prime target for many hate campaigners. No doubt many of their sales never got completed and hence they left and received negative feedback.

Ebay themselves receive hate mail and death threats....

Stil this inacceptable, but this is how big companies work nowadays, dissatisfied customers are just percentages, as long as the total profit fits...[}:)][:(!][xx(]

It might be better for them just to hide it, as they got a lot of negatives. [;)]

I would really be far less trustfull to a seller who hides his feedback: you don't know what he's hiding, it can de good but obviously it's probably bad... [}:)] [:(] That's why I'm not hiding my feedbacks: I've haven't got anything bad to show anyway! [:D] (OK, I just got my first feedback (positive), but it's just the idea... [:P] ) If I think it's makes someone looks bad why would I make myself look bad? [:)]

But it is true: you can get threathened for every little thing you say these days... [:o] Don't laugh, it's not funny at all... [:(] Someone got beaten up here in Holland just because he expressed his simple (and harmless) opinion on something. (can't remember what is was though. It was something like he mentioned someone wasn't wearing a helmet when riding his scooter). He ended up in the hospital which was pretty bad: but the worst thing was he didn't came out alive... [xx(] [V] Was everywhere in the media here. I think ppl are even more sensitive to those things since 9/11, but still; you see it all the time lately. [V] [V] [V]

There are a few big companies like Disney sellinbg on ebay and almost every one of the has a high neg rate. I remember seeing Kodaks and they consistnely shipped out faulty cameras, though that was some time ago and they may have worked it out now

Good choice, as we aren't big and known as Disney, so with hidden feedback we wouldn't be to sell half the price [;)]

"Harmless" eh? [B)] For whom??

If violence didn't exist, cops wouldn't need to carry guns.

Those crazy ppl (theye were around 18 years old or so, I can't really remember...) were tottally over-reacting. The opinion itself was harmless, the unexpected consequences for him weren't like that... [:(] [v]

You get threathened or beaten up for everything these days, it happens more and more lately... [:o] [V] You have to admit you can't beat ppl to DEATH for something like that, they didn't even knew him! [:o]

That is probably the biggest problem in society today - nobody knows nobody else, thus everything & everyone is "fair game".

Compare that with not too many decades ago, where ppl lived in small towns and everybody knew everybody else. You wouldn't even kick a stray cat as you'd know whose cat it was, let alone fear that someone who knew you would see you doing it.

Humanity is in serious decline. [xx(]

Hi,

I found this on their site...

"Q. Why is Disney Auctions feedback private?

A. Disney Auctions makes its comments private primarily to discourage guests from submitting feedback pertaining to other parts of The Walt Disney Company. However, as with other sellers, you will be able to see how many feedbacks we have received, and whether they were positive, neutral or negative. To modify our procedures and improve guest satisfaction, Disney Auctions reviews feedback submitted both to eBay and to us directly via e-mail."
