£600 is nearly $1000. I've seen half built NIB's or even cars with new body sets go for less than that. The paint on this one seems a bit "orange peely" and is missing some parts and has a repair. It is'nt new so you have to trust the re-con job.

At the end of the day somebody will pay if they want it[8D]

Quite a high start price though.

Will probably be relisted again i would say. Its nice to have the new decals but 600 is too much i feel. He may get a result if he sets it at 400 and puts a buy iy now for 500 on it. I would judge this to be top market price but as you say its not mint condition but if someone wants it then they will pay. We will see.

I've seen that one before. Off-limits for me! [:D] [:(]

I say, I would be smarter to start at £100 or so, and set his reserve on £600 (if that's the least he wants for it). But still, it's not new and £600 IS $1000. I'd say it's too much, a new built costs around $800. Though you get some batteries and electrics with it, I don't think that will compensate the steep price. A reserve of £350 to £400 seems resonable to me.

I'd say this is one of those ba$tards out there trying to make big money out of us enthusiasts. [:(!] I really hate it when ppl do that, it's ruining the whole hobby. It simply makes it unaffordable. [v] [:(]

i would buy it but i would need a few more photos, those don't show me what i want to know [:D]

How he thinks he can get that i don't know as it is not even the early scorcher with the black bumper. For that money it would have to be NIB and even then its too expensive.

But someone may pay, you never know until the end!

How do you get that SS painted so nicely? Can you achieve that through Tamiya Can Spray or would you need to airbrush it? Do you clearcoat it after putting decals on or before?

It looks so glossy! And look at them wheels, zannnggg baby, that is swweeeet! [8D][:P] Now that's what I'm talking about![8D]

Thanks Guys, [8)]

I sold the mint SS.

About the paintjob; you certainly cannot achieve this with Tamiya spraycans. The body is done by a professional model builder who has his own shop and takes parts in model competitions (which he frequently wins). He paints it in several layers and finishes with the clear coat. I applied the decals on top of that. The result as you may have seen is stunning. The price I pay for the paintwork is also quite substantial.
