I think this is no good: it's $400 for some sticker sheet, that's just ridiculous [:(!] [:o] Well, there are always ppl out there who will do anything for those... [B)]

I think it would have went for even more money if he put it on seperate auctions, though... [:)]

I think thats right. Plus somebody could have got the decals they need rather than having to get all 4.

How hard nust it be to get them reproduced properly? It must be possible to scan them at a high quality and then printed by someone who actually prints decal sets.

I must try to find out[:)]

Someone could make a killing buy purchasing these and making reproduced graphics. Especially the Blazing Blazer. These are rarer(sp) than hens teeth... They could re-coup their investment with a couple of sheets.

As Chris could well confirm, setting up and printing in such small runs is a big investment with high risks. Repros will also never sell for anywhere near as much as the real things.

I, like most people, know nothing about all this. But I was in a model shop over here in Belgium and see they had some static car kits that were localy made i think. Well, at least the decals were, and they looked good. It must be possible to get a set of say Hilux decals and do a high resolution scan and then print them out as per the decals these guys make.

Decals like the SS the Chris has made or any 3 speed decals should always be worth it because they are so expensive.

I know I would have a set of repro. Hilux decals because originals are just not worth the money to me. I actually like the car in plain colours. But decals for say $50 would be more interesting.

For a repro decal, $50 is a lot of money. It's is still not the origional thing. I think Chris' Sand Scorcher deacls are a reasonable price. You can't compare it to the real ones. these are a lot cheaper, and they don't really look a pig. I don't know the actual quality but most things I hear about them are all posstive.

TWO STAR, if you can get to reprint these decals near perfection, you can sell a lot of sheets. Though ppl only want them if they are perfect. Sounds very interresting to me, all this... [:D]

Chris's SS decals are $30 so $50 for Hilux decals would'nt be too bad and it means you would have more money to make them. $50 is less than half the original costs on ebay. And you could actually get some!![:D]

Getting them for pennies as TWO STAR said... is even better. [:P] As far as I remember the SS repro's from Chris were 15 pounds, not $30...

Things look so much nicer when they are pracitcally free! [:D] LOL

I thought they were £20 and now £19 which is around $30 I think. Chris will know.
