Ok, you sold summat on the bay, 2 days later no contact, even though bidder has placed bids on other stuff since close of auction and emails.

You have another enthusiastic, **** fast paying, second buyer, but still can't get a response from original one (after 2 mails through ebay and two through normal email)

What would you do??

You have to really play it by E-Bay rules, which if memory serves me correctly are that after 3 days you can hit them with an official reminder, then after that you can withdraw the item from the contract you have with the buyer.

also delete the buyer from your Christmas Card list ![]

Fair do's, wasn't gonna do anything immediately, just looking for opinion.

The wierd thing is, he upped his own bid, which made me think he might be away at end of auction and REALLY wanted it, but like I said, he was bidding on other stuff yesterday.

Funnily enough my very first sale (my childhood Sand scorcher) the buyer didn't contact me even though tried to get hold of him lots of times - I think after a week I let it go to the next highest bidder, some mad scottish bloke that kept harping on about Canada....

I had a deal with someone I bought parts off of. Well I won the auction. I sent e-mails all the way you have, i.e. through the bay and normal, but nothing! It has been over a week now I think.

I have now kinda lost interest in the deal because other parts have come my way. Why would you set an auction and then not bother about it when it is done.

I also had a Hilux body set I found on e-bay. It was really wierd. It was on Belgian bay and the guy was a 0 feedbacker but had beem a member for a while, no sunnies, but in the auction he said that he would not post the set, you had to collect it!! which is OK but a bit strange, but then he would'nt answer e-mails. I live in Belgium so I thought here goes, the price was good and this is a rare item. It was on for 10 days and I saw it with 7 to go, so I had a long wait. Nobody bid on it so I chucked one in at the end and so did someone else ( sorry Matthias!! ) but mine won.

Anyway, I ended up phoning the guy and he spoke a little English ( he was French speaking ) I arranged to meet him and pay up and he turns out to be a really nice guy!! Whats more the Hilux body set was perfect and I think a bargain too[][] So in the end it was a dream deal.
