ESC

Hi chaps,

I've just fitted a new receiver and servo to my Monster Beetle to go with the ESC. (MTronik eco27)

After fitting the goodies i do not have forwards/backwards.

The car got a bit wet at the weekend, so i don't know if that could cause a fault.

Any ideas?

I thought the current range of Mtroniks ESC's wre s'posed to be w.proof?

have you tried drying out the reciever this should help it worked for me

The ESC worked fine after the soaking, but the receiver died. I fitted the new receiver today and the ESC won't respond to forwards/reverse.

are the plugs correct? they sound like they might be in the wrong way round or something.....

is it all wired in correctly?

is the esc compatable with the reciever?

what about the reciever batteries or battery eliminator?

just put the old mechanical speed control back in[]

also check the crystals.

put another set in there just to rule them out.

I've just noticed i have an RX crystal in the transmitter and a TX in the receiver.

Could this be the problem?

RX - the r is for reciever

TX - the t is for transmitter[]

so swap em round and see if thats fixed it![]

Crystals are now the right way round.

Still no joy, and no lights on the ESC, either, i've noticed...
