What just happened there?!?

In a moment of weakness I placed a bid on a used Hilux Bruiser/Mountaineer (I don't even know which) on eBay. It so happened that my bid turned out to be the high bid [:0] So I guess I now own myself a Hilux, but did I make a good deal or [?]

Any comments?

If you don't want it, a little cleaning and better pictures will net you a nice resale. You could always part it out for more. I saw keep it for a nice runner.

I once placed a bid that could have gone bad. I placed a bid on some superchamp rear suspension arms. I had only planned to put in a bid $15.78. In the heat of the last 30 seconds, I accidently typed in $1578.00 I was surprised when I won the auction for $27.00 I used the back button and saw my error. Lucklily no one came along to slam in an outragious bid to make sure they won the auction. My bid might have made history for the highest price paid for two superchamp rear suspension arms.

Yeah, not bad I think. Problem here is the shipping costs and maybe customs might get it. That really pushes the price up.

Maybe not a bargain but not expensive and like the other guys say you should get money back on selling car or parts if you don't want it.

I think however I will hold on to this one and make a project out of it some day. It is not everyday you get your hands on a 3 speed...

Congrats, you are right, you can never easily part with a 3 speed, you can make a beauty out of it, check the Hilux in my showroom how it was (much worse than yours) and how it looks now []
