Is it just the time of the year or are more problems arising on Ebay. A while back I won this auction

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=1790848233

I paid for the item through Paypal on 10/26. Well I haven't got a thing. I started e-mailing around 12/6 to check the status. After a sending 3 mailings, on 12/8 he e-mails back to say I should have it sometime next week which would be the week of 12/9-12/13. I e-mail back on 12/12 to say nothing has come. I also added that the $6.00 shipping should have been more than enough to cover Priority shipping and even if he shipped it on monday 12/9 it would have got to me by now. He replies back on the 12th to say that he shipped it on 12/6. If that was the case then I would have the chassis by now. Man this guy is the king of run around. To his credit he has offered to refund my money but really I would rather have the chassis. I think this guy is trying to get out of the deal because the chassis sold at such a low price. It's dissapointing as he has quite a lot of postive feedback and is an Ebay Power seller. I try to give eveyone the benfit of doubt but this guy is trying my patience.

I had the same problem.http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...1790107321&rd=1

This guy claims to have sent it out and has even left feedback. He keeps assuring me that I should receive this anyday now. So far its been a no show.[:(!] I've order stuff from Japan that reached me quicker than this.

You know what kills me, I checked his feedback and everything looked like he was on the up and up.[V] Oh well only time will tell.

John:- if this is any relief, have dealt with rout66 from NZ several times before. He is generally quite reliable although not ultra-fast. You have to keep pestering him and reminding him until it arrives though... as I suspect he has someone else helping him doing the packing and addressing. Items always arrived as pictured/described.

I have had the same experience with route66. It takes a while but eventually it will come. I have bought 5 or 6 things from him

Not sure if its a full time job, perhaps not. Believe he also sells other small toy cars - diecasts, slot cars etc.

Had a chat with him back then, said he used to pickup used Tamiyas from hobby shops etc. Later on he says he's cleaned out the local Tamiya agent's warehouse and bought everything discontinued, so that's probably where all the new parts came from.

I have dealt with Route66 before and no problems, yes shipping was a bit slow but I did get in perfect shape. I bough some FAV parts from him 2 weeks ago still waiting but then again its Christmas time so add another week for shipping stuff abroad.

I think Route66 is a top seller, he's always got some good stuff for sale. It's a logistical nightmare for me when i've sold a couple of things on ebay, let alone ten times that ammount. This guy probably has a regular job too. I agree some things take time but he is good to his word and probably 3000miles away from the rest of the world. [;)]

The chassis showed up yesterday. It is in pristine shape. I am happy with the item but very unhappy about the shipping. The postal mark shows it being shipped on 12/12. Obivously this guy was lying all along about shipping the item. I am going to carefully word my feedback.
